Woke up to no hot water or heating. Legs aching from running up and down stairs. Men arrived 8.40 am. Scaffolding men arrived at 10 am to remove scaffolding (for outside house painting ). Spent morning making umpteen cups of tea for thirsty workers. Lots of noisy drilling today and later chief electrician came to sort out hot water problem.Eventually solved at 10 pm, leaving us time just for dinner, bath and bed !
This is my diary of events during the creation of our, long awaited, new kitchen.

Day 3
Carpet in hallway removed and stored in conservatory and few floorboards lifted for electricity cables to be run to fuse box. Plasterboards erected to walls and ceiling. Workmen retreived old radio Martyn had dumped in skip and then happily worked to pop music !

Day 1
This is the old kitchen with everything ready for demolition.
Workmen arrived at 10:30am and soon set about removing cupboards, wall units and ceiling tiles. A skip arrived at 11:15am and was soon filled-up. The old, condemned cooker was placed by the skip, but mysteriously dissappeared on to a little travellers' truck. The men worked without a break until 4pm.
